Scheduling a Visit
The Presidio Research Center is free to visit, and open to the public. Due to the fragility of some materials, researchers are asked to contact the Archivist & Librarian to make an appointment to see specific collections. This is also helpful for staff to support your research interests!

Hours of Operation
The Presidio Research Center is open for appointments during the following hours, and are usually 1-2 hours per appointment:

MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, & FRIDAY // 9 A.M. TO 12 P.M.
TUESDAY & THURSDAY // 1 P.M. TO 4 P.M.

Make an Appointment
Before making your appointment, familiarize yourself with the materials on our collections page and try to identify specific materials or collections of materials you would like to view. Once you are ready to make your appointment, complete the Researcher Appointment Form >>

Forms & Policies
Many materials in the Research Center can be photographed on-site using your smartphone or camera. Digitized scans of materials can also be requested for a fee. We can also provide photo reproductions for many of the images in our Photograph Collection. Please read our image reproduction policy for more information about our services.
Plan Your Visit
The Research Center is open by appointment only. Appointments are available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m.
