PRESIDIO RESEARCH CENTER

The Presidio Research Center supports the archaeological, research, education, and curatorial programs of SBTHP and El Presidio de Santa Bárbara State Historic Park. Our collections focus on multi-format materials related to:

  • ​the Presidio's political, social, economic, cultural, intellectual, and ecological history

  • the Presidio Neighborhood, peoples and communities who have lived there through time

  • the historic preservation movement in Santa Barbara County, including the role of the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation in that movement

The Research Center is open by appointment only.
Appointments are available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m.
