Annual Fund
So far this year, the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation has welcomed more than 10,000 visitors, engaged over 5,000 community members, and provided educational experiences to more than 1,200 K-12 students. As we continue serving our community through the remainder of the year, these numbers reflect the many people connecting with the places, stories, and traditions that make Santa Barbara unique.
We began a critical roof replacement project at the historic Cañedo Adobe, helped secure National Register recognition for Jimmy's Oriental Gardens and the Chung family home, and brought our community together through exhibitions, workshops, festivals, and educational programs that explored both our shared past and its relevance today.
From the Year of the Fire Horse Festival to thought-provoking conversations about public memory and belonging, SBTHP created opportunities for people of all ages to learn, connect, and engage with Santa Barbara's layered history. The Presidio Neighborhood Initiative also exceeded expectations in its first year, strengthening connections among residents, businesses, and cultural organizations while continuing to build a vibrant historic district.
These accomplishments are possible because people like you believe that history matters.
Historic places require ongoing care. Educational programs need dedicated support. Community initiatives thrive when people invest in them.
As the year comes to a close, we hope you will consider making a gift to the Annual Fund. Together, we can preserve the places and stories that connect us and inspire future generations.
Thank you for your generous support!
