Youth Programs!

Through SBTHP's school and youth programs, students experience history firsthand—exploring historic places, discovering diverse community stories, and building meaningful connections to the place they call home. 

A 3rd grader might learn how different communities lived side by side in the Presidio Neighborhood. An 8th grader might explore local landmarks and stories that reflect Santa Barbara's rich cultural heritage. Through our free CASA Camp, offered in partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara, students gain confidence, creativity, and a love of learning through hands-on experiences.

Last year, SBTHP: 

• Served 1,500 students 

• Partnered with over 40 schools 

• Provided educational experiences at historic sites throughout Santa Barbara 

• Helped students engage with California history beyond the classroom
