SBTHP’s POP! Fundraising Event Returns for a Fourth Year of Festivities

By Lindsey Lewis, SBTHP Advancement Intern

On Sunday, June 1st, the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation (SBTHP) hosted its fourth annual Presidio Orchard Party (POP!). We welcomed over 100 community members, who came together to enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, and listen to live music by local musicians in support of SBTHP’s mission. Held in the historic Presidio Orchard, this year’s POP! event kicked off with a performance by the Senior Swing Band. Guests enjoyed a buffet by Country Catering Company, featuring regional barbeque favorites, including tri-tip and potato salad.

This year’s POP! raffle excited guests, and winners took home generous prize donations. Thank you to all the businesses and sponsors who contributed! We were especially proud to have the support of local businesses, while also highlighting them as part of our prize packages.

For the first time, our 2025 POP! featured a wine pull, where attendees took home hand-selected bottles from some of Santa Barbara’s most-beloved wineries, including Frequency Wine Company and Au Bon Climat. To close out the evening on a sweet note, POP! attendees enjoyed scoops from McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream, a classic local favorite.

We’re especially grateful to our event sponsors; our Silver Sponsor, Brown & Brown, and our Bronze Sponsors: Arlington Financial Advisors, Omega Financial Group, Ruth Ann Bowe/Village Properties, and 19SixArchitects. Your support makes SBTHP’s fundraising events like POP! not only possible, but enjoyable and memorable for our attendees, staff and volunteers.

Finally, SBTHP would like to thank all the volunteers, staff, donors, and attendees who helped make this year’s POP! a wonderful celebration of the place we all call home.
