Colonel Bernardo de Gálvez, as portrayed by Hector
Diaz from Columbia Maryland, pays tribute to his former adversaries.
British forces are represented by HM (His Majesty, George III) 33rd
of Foot living history interpreters. Gálvez is in the uniform
of the Colonel of the Louisiana Regiment. Gálvez described his
engagement with British forces at the siege of Pensacola, Florida, in
1781 at the Long Beach event. The Gálvez event was spnsored by
SHHAR, (Society of Hispanic Historical and Ancestral Research) which
regularly publishes a monthly internet magazine entitled SOMOS
PRIMOS |
