Every Gift Makes a Difference!
Protecting, preserving, and interpreting the historic and cultural resources that make our community exceptional is our passion.
What visitors learn at our sites connects them to the past, giving them an appreciation for the cultures and influences that shape us today, the native peoples, explorers, settlers and immigrants who established our state and community.
The responsibility for preserving our rich cultural heritage and educating the next generation belongs to all of us. Your investment makes possible our education and outreach programs, tours, lectures, exhibits and events that give visitors of all ages the opportunity to learn about early California history and extraordinary past of Santa Barbara county.

Ways You Can Help
Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted Gifts are most valuable because they enable SBTHP to apply the funds where they are most needed. Unrestricted gifts can be made through outright gifts of cash (check or credit card), appreciated securities, retirement assets and pledges over time. Want to stretch your donation dollars even further? Visit out our matching gifts page to see if your company or employer will match your contribution. Non-cash gifts of real property, art work and other personal property are also welcome.
Donor Designated Gifts
Donor Designated Gifts can benefit one of SBTHP's current projects such as the Presidio Northwest Corner, Presidio Research Center, Casa de la Guerra or Santa Inés Mission Mills - a particular program such as Early California Days, Living History Days or Dia de los Muertos - or a specific department: curatorial, education, archaeology or research.
Memorial and Honorary Gifts
Memorial and Honorary Gifts provide a lasting tribute to a friend or loved one. An honorary gift recognizes a special person for their anniversary, birthday or a job well done. SBTHP will send an acknowledgement to the families of those memorialized or to the person honored without specifying the amount.
Pearl Chase Endowment
The Pearl Chase Endowment has been created to receive and encourage planned gifts and bequests, and to provide a permanent financial base for the SBTHP's ongoing preservation and restoration work.
